The project
AdEx is a decentralised ad exchange built on the Ethereum blockchain and smart contracts. The platform offers solutions to advertisers and publishers with the goal of creating a decentralized user-oriented environment for advertising without fraudulent activities and the current lack of privacy.
The AdEx protocol facilitates trading of advertising space or time, as well as the subsequent verification and proof that it actually occurred. Essentially, it covers all interactions between publishers, advertisers and end users. The protocol combines traditional peer-to-peer technology, cryptography and blockchain.

The Platform
A display ad network for reduced ad fraud & increased user privacy
AdEx allows users to take full control over their advertisements, advertising campaigns, and overall preferences by offering transparency and privacy. By directly connecting advertisers with users and publishers within its ecosystem, AdEx eliminates the need for a central authority, a feature that is common in traditional ad platforms. AdEx is decentralized and directly connects all network participants, while publishers are paid for their services without any middlemen taking most of their commissions.
